This barbecue rub is perfect for chicken and ribs.

chili powder

Makes 3/4 cup

Kansas City Dry Rub


  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbs. each paprika and smoked Spanish paprika
  • 1 Tbs. each ground black pepper, garlic powder, chili powder and onion powder
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp. kosher salt


  1. In bowl, combine all ingredients. Transfer to airtight container and store in cool dry place.
