Bacon, my family’s favorite breakfast can taste even better with maple syrup.  I got this tip  from Ina Garten’s The Barefoot Contessa.  Here’s what you should do, first, roast the bacon in the oven on a rack set in a broiler pan so you don’t have to keep on turning it.  Second, brush it with maple syrup at the end to give it great flavor.  It’s best to use thick-cut bacon and dark amber maple syrup.

  5. I like sprinkling fresh cracked pepper on bacon but then through an appetizer recipe discovered using brown sugar. So now I’m going to have to try maple syrup. I definitely am going to have to try this! Maple syrup and bacon sounds like a perfect match. Thanks for the tip.
