Ever since I was diagnosed with a gallstone, I started eating healthier meals. I should have had it removed, but I wanted to try holistic healing. So far, acupuncture, turmeric and apple cider vinegar works for me.

I also avoided eating beef and pork and had only chicken breast and fish.  I have always loved eating vegetables, so eating more was never a problem with me. Instead of frying my food (oh, how I loved fried food!), I tried to bake them. French fries are one of my favorite comfort foods, but since I can’t have the store bought fries anymore, I make my own.

Baked Sweet Potato Fries


  • In a large bowl, toss sweet potatoes with just enough olive oil to coat. I use about a tablespoon. Sprinkle with sea salt, pepper and paprika. Spread sweet potatoes in single layer on prepared baking sheet, being sure not to overcrowd. Bake at 450 degrees Farenheit until sweet potatoes are tender and golden brown, turning occasionally, about 20 minutes.
