Is your chili too hot?  You can tame an over spicy dish by adding a spoonful of sour cream to the pot.  Because fat is on the opposite end of the flavor spectrum from spice, it will help balance the chili’s flavor.  Happy cooking! 🙂

    1985 my late Mother asked me to prepare chili as she was coming to my house for dinner and then we were to go to where I was performing that night. She told me she liked a lot of garlic. As we spooned the aromatic into our mouths, we both got a big and HOT surprise. I had added an entire garlic bulb to the recipe. It was my first attempt at this particular dish. Needless to say I never repeated this debacle.
