frying chicken

Back then, I was so afraid of frying fish and chicken because of the splatters.  But this little trick I learned from a friend helps make frying frying real easy and splatter free, so you can whip up your favorite fried chicken anytime.  Before cooking, sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt in the frying oil.  The large grains of salt will absorb moisture and will reduce the amount of water that comes into contact with the oil which causes splattering.  Happy cooking!  🙂

    wow thanks! i’ve always been afraid of frying. i stay about a yard away to avoid the splatters 🙂 which doesn’t help much since my hand still gets hit.
