If you’re not serving salad your salad right away but you plan to make it ahead of time, there is a trick to keep the greens fresh for hours.  Just sprinkle the washed and dried leaves with sea salt.  The granules will absorb excess moisture so the greens stay crisp until you’re ready to eat.
