It was only an hour before your cookout when you realized you are out of marinade for your flank steak.  What do you do?  Use coffee grounds for a tastier steak.  Simply coat the steak with olive oil, then rub on a mixture of 1/3 cup each of black pepper and fresh  coffee grounds.  Chill the meat for 30 minutes, then grill as usual.  The coffee’s tannic acid will gently break down the meat’s tough muscle fibers and add a nutty, smoky flavor.
