Regulars at this blog probably know that I’m a sweet tooth. I love sweets so much that I always make sure there’s still room for sweet treats after a meal. You might have noticed though, that I don’t feature desserts a lot in this blog. Well, that’s because I have another blog that’s solely dedicated for desserts. But since I featured Solaire’s latest summer desserts here, I thought of featuring the best desserts in town that I’ve tried in this blog as well. I know there are a lot of other great desserts out there to tickle your palate, but the ones you will find below are the desserts I have enjoyed recently.

So, here are my top 10 awesome desserts (in no particular order) in town…

Sentro 1771’s Fried Suman

The sticky rice or suman was steamed and then fried to perfection. It was then topped with slices of sweet ripe mango and drizzled with thick coconut caramel sauce.

Sansrival from Mary Grace

Crunchy and buttery! You can taste the butter in every bite, but it is not overwhelming. Plus, I love that there are heaps of cashew nuts inside and out.

Solaire’s Strip Steakhouse’s Strawberries & Cream

Made up of fresh strawberries, short bread crumble and dry meringue with a luxury cream Chantilly all in one bite. A light, yet tasty dessert. It is very light that’s just perfect after a heavy meal.

The combination of Quezo de Bola and cream cheese was perfect. The cake is not heavy at all and not too sweet. One of the best cheesecakes I’ve had.

Delightful mango gelato mixed with their Sans Rival gelato embedded in layers of crunchy meringue wafers.

Leche Flan, salted egg and keso de bola. Eat a little of each at the same time and you’ll be surprised with the burst of flavors in your mouth. This may look like a very simple dessert, but it certainly is one of the bests.

Finestra’s Vanilla Panna cotta with coffee cream and chocolate biscotti

A vanilla flavored Panna cotta made by simmering together with the twist of coffee cream and chocolate biscotti. It’s sweet and creamy with a hint of bitterness from the coffee. The taste is just heavenly!

Torch’s Mix Berries Panna cota

I like desserts that are sweet and tart at the same time. It’s soft and creamy unlike other Panna cotas that has a gellatin like texture.

Banana Tart from Sentro 1771

Crunchy, creamy and sweet. That’s how I would describe this yummy treat.

The cake consists of layers of rich flourless chocolate cake filled with caramel chocolate mousse, cocoa gel and croustillant cookie crisp. Finished with bitter chocolate coverture glaze and signature gold flakes. It’s soft and moist and decadent and I love that it’s not too sweet. Just the way I want my chocolate cake. Simple, but elegant and tastes really delicious.
