We will be visiting my in laws tomorrow. They recently came back from a fishing trip far north, they will be preparing a salmon dish that they caught themselves. There’s no doubt that we will have to endure hearing a few spincast reel reviews and fishing tales but that’s a small price to pay for these rare delicacies.  My son is also excited to see his cousin because he was told that his Kustom Amps have arrived. Both boys are into music and they have been saving up to complete their equipment. We’ll hear lots of music tomorrow, for sure. Meanwhile, here’s the recipe for the grilled salmon.



Grilled Salmon Japanese Style


  • Salmon fillet
  • 1 tsp. grated ginger
  • 2 tsps. grated radish
  • 1 Tbs. light soy sauce like Kikkoman
  • a dash of Dashi


  1. Season salmon with salt, then grill.
  2. Transfer to a serving plate.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Mix next 4 ingredients together and pour over grilled salmon.
  5. Enjoy!
