Conferences, meetings and events can be made easier now that The Function Rooms and Connoisseur Catering are here. I was one of the food bloggers who had the privilege to attend their launch where we were treated to a delectable meal. From the appetizers to the dessert, every dish was scrumptious.

Here are the yummy appetizers we had before we even started with lunch.

This was hub’s favorite. He dislikes cilantro but he says the wee bit of the herb blended perfectly with the mushroom, noodles and other vegetables. It was wrapped in egg noodle wrapper, the one you use in making fresh lumpia.

Now, this is my favorite. Caviar and scallop… perfect!

It was good too but for me, the mozzarella was a little dry.

The wine pairings were perfect too. I am not much of a wine drinker but I have to say that theirs we’re really good.

I especially liked the white wine. I usually steer clear of white wines because I find them sour, this one has a little sweetness which I really liked.

The owners Laura, Lorraine and Lorlyn (not in the picture), (the same people that brought you Casa Armas, were excellent hosts.

We even went home with bottles of their original chicken liver pate.

Literally a “mouth amuser.” It’s well-seasoned, savory and I would love to have a second, third, fourth and fifth serving of this.

This one is good too but not plated well like the other courses we had. I loved the juicy prawn inside those phyllo strips. Bitin! 🙂

Very mushroomy which I really like and the truffle oil definitely added a lot of flavor, but it’s a bit salty for me even if I mixed the mousse.

One of the best lamb chops that I’ve tasted! It’s not even gamey at all and the gravy is fantastic.

Anyone who knows me knows that my heart melts for cheesecakes. I love Quezo de Bola too so the combination is just perfect. I didn’t taste much of the Quezo de Bola though, so I wouldn’t mind a bit more of the cheese. Hubs loved it too albeit he dislikes Quezo de Bola.
