If a barbecue is on your husband’s agenda this week, beware.  Research shows that when meat is charred at high temperatures, it forms a compound that seems to encourage the growth of prostate cancer.  If barbecue can’t be taken off the menu, marinate meats for at least 10 minutes before grilling to prevent charring, or cut off burns before eating.
