If you know of someone who is suffering from Mesothelioma, this article may help you.  Patients may experience some changes in smell and taste, although this does not pose a serious threat, it won’t help to ignore these symptoms.  It may lead to loss of appetite and not having enough nutrients may lead to weight loss.

This is not good when the patient is under treatment.  It can affect the immune system and worsen side effects, and because the patient is weak, it’s harder for his body to bounce back between treatments.

It may help to try to avoid strong food smells because it can kill the appetite.  Ask your doc about what food to avoid and what not to avoid.  Experiment and try different foods and flavors to find what works best.
