I was recently given the opportunity to review the colorful Silicone Baking Cups by Simple Baker.
This will be my first time to use silicone baking cups, so I was very excited when the colorful cups arrived. They are so pretty, soft and they don’t have a strong “rubbery” smell. I love that I don’t have to spray the cups with oil. It makes me feel great that I’m baking with less oil. The cups are sturdy enough to stand on their own, so there’s no need for you to use muffin pans for support.
I made Brazo De Mercedes cup cakes using ordinary liners. If you are not familiar with Brazo de Mercedes, it is a very soft meringue with a custard filling. Soft liners can’t hold them well, but the silicone baking cups will.
The baking cups are non stick. When I made some vanilla cupcakes, they came off the cups without struggle and there was not even a trace of cupcake. The cups are clean and the cupcakes are perfect. I just washed them with soapy water, rinsed and air dried.
Overall, these cups aren’t just pretty, they are amazing! If you are looking for baking cups that deliver perfect results, the silicone baking cups are worth giving a try. They don’t stain, they don’t stick, they are easy to clean and reusable.
You can purchase the Silicone Baking Cups through Amazon. The colorful set is fairly priced at $11.77.
