Flaxseed is a natural appetite suppressant.  Sprinkle 3 to 6 tablespoons of whole flaxseeds on cold cereal, yogurt or salads daily and you can make weight loss automatic.  How?  The seeds slow intestinal glucose absorption.  The credit goes to the seeds’ healthy fats and soluble fiber, they prolong feelings of satisfaction.  Here’s a yummy idea to enjoy flaxseeds.

Turkey Pitas

Heat oven to 400 °F.  In food processor, pulse 1 clove garlic, peeled, and 1 teaspoon salt 8 times.  In bowl, combine 1 container (6 oz.) plain non-fat yogurt, and 1 teaspoon garlic mixture.  In bowl, combine 1 lb. ground turkey, 2 tablespoons flaxseed and remaining garlic; form into 18 balls.  Place on greased baking sheet.  Bake 8 minutes or until cooked through.  Place three balls each in 6 mini whole-wheat pitas.  Top with yogurt mixture.
