Upset tummy?  Eat papaya.  This fruit is the only natural source of papain, an enzyme that helps breakdown hard-to-digest protein into its smallest components.  This process prevents the buildup of bloat-causing gas and other pesky digestive tract problems like heartburn and acid reflux.  Here, enjoy the fruit in a yummy salad.

Tropical Chicken Salad

In large bowl, combine 3 cups fresh papaya, cut into cubes; 1 lb. cooked chicken breast, cut into cubes; 1 red and/or green bell pepper, cored and chopped; and 1/2 cup prepared Asian sesame dressing.  Arrange mixture over a bag of spinach or spring salad mix.  Top with papaya-chicken mixture.  Garnish salad with chopped scallions if desired.
