Palitaw is a very nutritious Filipino snack made out of glutinous rice or galapong.  If galapong is not available in your area, you can easily make it by mixing one cup of sweet rice flour with 3/4 cup of water.

Ingredients:

Procedure:

Take about a teaspoon size of galapong.

Roll up into balls.

Flatten with the palm of your hands to form tongues.

Drop them in boiling water.  Once they float, they are cooked. Skim and drop in cold water.

Drain and roll them in freshly grated coconut.

Arrange palitaw tongues in a plate and sprinkle with white sugar and toasted sesame seeds.
