To disinfect a cutting board after using it for cutting meat, simply grab half of a lemon and run it over your plastic cutting board. Then pop the board in the microwave and heat it for 1 minute. Remove board from the microwave (careful because it may be hot), wipe it off with a paper towel and start dicing. The acidic lemon juice will disinfect the microwave- safe board while the heat will speed up the process.
